MZFP MULTI-ZONE PACK

Overview

Kelly MZFP Multi-zone Gravel Packing System is used to gravel pack multiple zones in a single trip, the system is designed for ease of operation, flexibility, reliability, and zonal isolation. the system is a one trip system, which has been optimized to provide the ability to gravel pack or frac pack multiple intervals with a single trip into the well bore. While maintain positive zone isolation during the treatment process. The system uses field proven products and service tool to control formation producing sand for longer well life and enhance reservoir productivity.

Running

Following the perforation of all zones, the MZGP assembly is made up on on the surface and ran into well, placed across all the intervals, and landed into the sump packer with CSA snap latch sealing assembly. The top packer is then set and tested and service tools released. The service tools are then positioned in the bottom- most isolation packer which is set by applying tubing pressure, tested and re-positioned in the lower zone circulation position where the gravel pack treatment is carried out. This can be performed with Circulation Pack, High Rate Water Pack(HRWP), or Fracturing Pack.

Gravel packing

the gravel packing can be performed in the squeeze or the circulating positions, while monitoring annulus pressure, and with or without taking fluid returns. Once the lower zone is completed, the service tool will be positioned in the next zone, tested and the treatment repeated for that interval. This process is carried out until all zones have been treated.

Excess Gravel

Any remaining gravel slurry inside of the tools and working string, will be reversed out and measured.

Production

The RHS packer is a retrievable packer. Once the production upper string is ran and sealed in the packer, the well is placed on production. If a work over is necessary during the life of the well, the packer can be retrieved in one trip with a special packer retrieving tool. Shear release of the RHS packer provides ease of packer retrieval and subsequent retrieval of the gravel-pack screens.
